Hypoactive delirium
I wonder, if anybody has personal experience ( preferably positive )  in treating hypoactive delirium? My quick review of literature has shown that:
1. There is no decent evidence on any treatment.
2. Haldol is recommended - looks counterintuitive to use it in patient barely responsive.
3. Methylphenidate mentioned in Uptodate ( there is one study in cancer patients with positive response ) but recommended against - again based on speculations and not on data.
4 Amantadine used by rehab community to increase level of alertness, but not necessary in delirium patient.

So, did anybody really use Haldol or Methylphenidate or anything else in this setting?
