The SHM San Francisco Bay Area Chapter will be hosting a virtual meeting on Thursday, October 3rd at 6:00 p.m. PT. Please join for an educational presentation titled "Perioperative Medicine Pearls," provided by Dr. Hugo Quinny Cheng. Dr. Cheng’s main clinical interest is the medical care of surgical patients, including preoperative medical evaluation and the prevention and management of postoperative medical complications. He directs the Medicine Consultation Service at UCSF Medical Center, which performs these functions in a traditional consultation role. In addition, Dr. Cheng developed a novel inpatient service to more intensively address the needs of UCSF’s neurological surgery patients. At UCSF Medical Center's Mission Bay campus, Dr. Cheng developed and leads the hospital medicine consultation service that serves the surgical and obstetric services.
