The Society of Hospital Medicine South Central PA Chapter will be hosting a Point-of-Care Ultrasound Course on Saturday, February 8th at 7:30 a.m. ET. Participants will begin to develop the knowledge needed for basic diagnostic point of care ultrasound competencies typically encountered for the hospital medicine provider and explore and develop the manual probe skills necessary for image acquisition. This course is targeted at beginners to diagnostic point of care ultrasound who are interested in experiencing what POCUS can offer to bedside clinicians and educators. Following this course, motivated attendees may wish to consider other POCUS course offerings from professional organizations in the future to obtain formal competency and certification.
The Society of Hospital Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
The Society of Hospital Medicine designates this in-person activity for a maximum of 7.75 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditTM. Physicians should claim only credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
