The SHM Connecticut Chapter will be hosting an in-person event on Tuesday, February 25th at 6:00 p.m. ET at The Blake Hotel in New Haven, CT. Please join the chapter to meet and network with other hospitalists in your community and for an educational presentation titled "Hepatorenal Syndrome: A Practical Approach," provided by Dr. Simona Jakab. Dr. Jakab is Associate Professor of Medicine at Yale University in the Section of Digestive Diseases, Firm Chief of the Klatskin Liver Inpatient Service at Yale New Haven Hospital, and Associate Chief (Hepatology) at VA Connecticut Healthcare System. She is an experienced clinician, educator, and investigator in several clinical trials. She is a fellow of the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases and committee member of national GI and liver societies. She is passionate to improve the inpatient and outpatient management of patients with cirrhosis, in particular transitions of care, and multidisciplinary collaboration with addiction medicine and palliative care.
