The SHM Connecticut Chapter invites you to join them on Tuesday, October 28th, at 6:00 p.m. ET at Stella D'Oro in Middletown, CT. Enjoy a welcoming atmosphere with colleagues from across the state. This gathering combines networking opportunities with a thought-provoking educational session you won't want to miss. This evening's featured presentation, "From Bedside to Brainstorm: Generative AI for Hospitalists," will be provided by Dr. Chris Sankey.

Chris B. Sankey, MD, FACP, SFHM
Dr. Chris Sankey is an Associate Professor of Medicine at Yale School of Medicine and he is the current director of Yale’s academic Program in Hospital Medicine. He graduated from the Ohio State University College of Medicine and was a resident and chief resident in the Yale traditional medicine residency program from 2002 to 2006. For the last 20 years, Dr. Sankey has been a hospitalist and medical educator at Yale New Haven Hospital. His work has focused on inpatient clinical deterioration, clinical case writing and publication, educational leadership and innovation, mentorship, sponsorship, and coaching. He was an Associate Program Director for the traditional medicine residency program from 2017 to 2022. In addition to directing the academic hospitalist group at Yale School of Medicine, Dr. Sankey is the co-chief of Yale’s Hospital Medicine Firm, program director of the Adult Hospital Medicine Fellowship Program, and faculty director of the resident elective in hospital medicine. Dr. Sankey is involved in multiple initiatives on diversity, equity, and inclusion within and outside of Yale and is a physician coach for Yale medical students

The Society of Hospital Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
The Society of Hospital Medicine designates this in person activity for a maximum of 1.50 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Physicians should claim only credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
