Call for Abstracts

The SHM Southwest Florida Chapter invites Fellows, Residents, and Medical Students to submit posters for its Scientific Abstract Competition. All poster presenters are required to have an active SHM membership. There are no annual membership dues for Medical Students. Residents can receive 10% off their first year of SHM membership by using the discount code SWFLA10.

Submission Deadline: January 28, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. EST

Notification of Acceptance: February 11, 2026

The first-place winner is encouraged to submit their poster to the National Scientific Abstract Competition taking place at SHM’s annual conference, Converge, in Las Vegas, NV in Spring 2027. The first-place winner will also receive a $300 Amazon gift card. The second-place winner will receive a $200 Amazon gift card and the third-place winner will receive a $100 Amazon gift card.
