Meeting Overview: We're excited to announce our next meeting will take place on Saturday, May 18, 2019, at the Grand Pointe Conference and Reception Center in Vienna, WV. We will have our first annual poster competition followed by an educational talk by Dr. Jeremy Hustead on  "Buprenorphine and other Medication Assisted Treatment in the Inpatient Setting". Call for Abstracts! Attention: Medical Students and Residents in the state of West Virginia

Submission Details:

Deadline for Abstract Submission: Thursday, April 18, 2019 at 11:59 p.m.

Submit your abstract to West Virginia Chapter President, Michael Iannetti, miannetti@wvumedicine.org

All first authors will be notified if abstracts are accepted via email by Tuesday, April 23rd. Authors will have until Friday, April 26th to accept the invitation to present at the meeting.

Winning Prizes:

The overall winner will receive automatic acceptance to the RIV competition at Hospital Medicine 2020 in San Diego, California. They will also receive one free conference registration and a $1000 travel grant to attend the meeting. The second and third place winners will receive prizes announced onsite.

Note: In order to participate at the HM20 RIV Competition, the winner of the competition must submit their abstract into the HM20 abstract submission site in Fall 2019 before the deadline.
