Dr. Pramod Ponna is an Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine at OU Health University of Oklahoma Medical Center and Unit Medical Director. He leads hospital-wide initiatives in culture of mobility, early discharge optimization, and clinical workflow improvement. Previously, he served in multiple leadership roles at LSU Health Shreveport, including physician champion for EMR optimization and quality initiatives. Dr. Ponna serves on several institutional committees focused on utilization management, patient safety, and infection prevention. His academic work centers on hospital-based outcomes, cardiovascular disease, and systems-level quality improvement, with publications in high-impact peer-reviewed journals. He is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and an active educator and mentor in hospital medicine.
