The SHM Boston Chapter will be holding their next event in-person on Monday, October 16th at 6:00 p.m. ET at the Branch Line Restaurant in Watertown, MA. Please join the chapter for networking and for an educational presentation titled "Conflict Management: The Key to Supporting Trust (and your own joy in work)," provided by Dr. Jo Shapiro.

"We are pleased and excited to announce that the Boston Association of Academic Hospital Medicine (BAAHM) Chapter of the Society of Hospital Medicine (SHM), and the Boston Chapter of SHM have decided to formally merge.  Over the years the vision and mission of the two Chapters experienced convergent evolution, and we all agree that we will thrive as a unified entity, as a single SHM Chapter for Eastern Massachusetts.  

Our vision is to be an extraordinary home for all Hospitalists in our area – including Medicine, Pediatrics, Med-Peds, Specialty Hospitalists, Advanced Practice Providers and our trainees.  We welcome Academic and non-Academic Hospitalists alike.  We will continue to create our own content, with thought-provoking and useful topics to appeal across the very broad range that our chosen field of Medicine encompasses. 

As a side note we will soon be announcing, and be seeking nominees for, a variety of new leadership roles for our new Chapter.  We will welcome self-nominations.

We are thrilled to announce our first meeting of our new and robust Chapter."
