The American Parkinson Disease Association (APDA) is the largest grassroots network dedicated to fighting Parkinson’s disease (PD) and the APDA Virginia Chapter works tirelessly every day to support and empower those in our community who are impacted by PD. They promote hope and optimism through innovative services, programs, education, and support, while also funding vital research. The Optimism Walk is a nationwide movement to mobilize and inspire people to step up and end Parkinson's Disease.

This year, the SHM Hampton Roads Chapter will be participating in the APDA 2024 Virginia Optimism Walk taking place on Saturday, June 8th at the Warhill Sports Complex in Williamsburg, VA.
