Call for Abstracts

The SHM Houston Chapter invites Residents and Medical Students to submit posters for its annual Scientific Abstract Competition. All submissions should include a poster using the instructions provided below.

Submission Categories: 1. Research 2. Innovations 3. Clinical Vignettes

Submission Deadline: November 25, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. CT

Submission Instructions: Please submit your abstract to the national submission site by November 25, 2024. After submission to the national submission site, please email your abstract to houstonshm@gmail.com by the same deadline.

Notification of Acceptance: Notable abstracts will be selected for oral presentations during the SHM Houston Chapter’s virtual meeting on December 14, 2024.

The top-scoring poster will receive automatic acceptance to the National Scientific Abstract Competition taking place during SHM’s annual conference, Converge, in Las Vegas, NV, April 22-25, 2025. This winner will be required to submit their abstract to the national submission site by the November 25, 2024 deadline in order to be accepted. Submission details and instructions:
