Hospitalists care for a broad range of highly complex medical conditions. It is challenging to maintain awareness of the latest evidence in such a diverse array of medical conditions. Updating practicing physicians and other health professionals in the diagnosis and management of common conditions in patients requiring hospitalization for acute medical conditions is essential to providing quality care leading to improved patient outcomes. This activity is designed to increase knowledge, improve competence, and enhance performance of the participants practicing hospital medicine to advance patient care and (health system) outcomes.
