Call for Abstracts

The SHM NYC/Westchester and Long Island Chapters invite Medical Students, Residents, Physician Assistants (PAs), Nurse Practitioners (NPs), PA Students and NP Students to participate in their joint Scientific Abstract Competition.

Submission Categories: 1. Research 2. Innovations 3. Clinical Vignettes

Submission Deadline: Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. ET

Submission Instructions: Please submit abstracts to shmnycwestchesterlichapters@gmail.com.

One overall winner from each chapter will receive automatic acceptance to the National Scientific Abstract Competition taking place during SHM’s annual Conference, Converge, in Las Vegas, NV, April 22-25, 2025. The two selected authors will be required to submit their abstract to the national submission site by the November 25, 2024 deadline in order to be accepted. The top NYC/Westchester Chapter poster can apply for a travel stipend at the chapter's discretion. The second and third place abstracts of each chapter will receive a complimentary one-year SHM membership.
