Speaker: Bernard "Beau" Landry-Wegener, MD
Dr. Bernard "Beau" Landry-Wegener is an assistant professor in the Division of Hospital Medicine at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He attended the Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans for his medical degree and completed residency in internal medicine at the Osler Medical Residency, participating in the program’s Medical Education Pathway. Beau is on faculty at the medical school as a Colleges Advisor in the Taussig College and the associate clerkship director for the Medicine Core Clerkship. He is also currently a fellow in the Master of Education in the Health Profession program of the Johns Hopkins University School of Education. Drawing on his previous career as a musical theater actor, Beau is especially interested in using arts-based instructional strategies to teach medical trainees communication skills and aid in their professional identity formation.
