The SHM Minnesota Chapter will be holding their Annual Scientific Abstract Competition virtually on Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at 6:30 p.m. CT. The Minnesota Chapter encourages all Internal Medicine (IM), Family Medicine, IM-Pediatrics and Pediatrics Residents, Fellows and Medical Students to participate in the chapter's Annual Scientific Poster Competition.

6:30-6:35 p.m. - Opening remarks
6:35-8:00 p.m. - Abstract presentation
8:00-8:15 p.m. - Break
8:15-8:25 p.m. - Announcement of the winner of poster competition
8:25-8:30 p.m. - Closing remarks

Notification of Acceptance: All first authors will be notified if abstracts are accepted via email.

The first-place winner will receive automatic acceptance to the National Scientific Abstract Competition taking place at SHM's annual conference, Converge, April 22-25, 2025, in Las Vegas,NV. The winner will be required to submit their abstract to the national submission site by the submission deadline in order to be accepted. The SHM Minnesota Chapter will award the first-place winner a complimentary registration to attend the conference. While only the first-place winner is provided automatic acceptance, everyone is encouraged to submit their abstracts into the National Scientific Abstract Competition. In the instance that the first-place winner cannot participate, the award will be provided to the second place, and then third and so forth.
