Call for Abstracts

The SHM Middle Tennessee Chapter invites Residents and Medical Students to submit abstracts to their Scientific Abstract Competition.

Submission Categories: 1. Clinical Vignettes

Submission Deadline: October 17, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. CT

Submission Instructions: Please submit abstracts to SHMmidTN@gmail.com.

Notification of Acceptance: October 24, 2025

The first-place winner is encouraged to submit their poster to the National Scientific Abstract Competition taking place during SHM’s annual Conference, Converge, in Nashville, TN, March 29 - April 1, 2026 and will be required to submit their abstract to the national submission site by the November 24, 2025 deadline in order to be accepted. This winner will also receive a $200 Amazon gift card, a complimentary registration to attend the conference, and a complimentary one-year membership to SHM (if not a current member). The second-place winner will receive a $100 Amazon gift card and a complimentary one-year SHM membership. The third-place winner will receive a $50 Amazon gift card a complimentary one-year SHM membership.
