The SHM Nebraska Chapter will be holding an in-person event on Thursday, November 16th at 5:30 p.m. CT at Johnny's Italian Steakhouse in Omaha, NE. Please join the chapter for networking and for the chapter's Scientific Abstract Competition.

Call for Abstracts:
The SHM Nebraska Chapter encourages all the hospitalists, Internal Medicine (IM), Family Medicine, IM Pediatrics and Pediatrics Residents, advanced practice providers (APP), and Medical Students to participate in the Chapter's virtual Scientific Abstract Competition. Medical students are required to register for an SHM Medical Student membership. There are no annual membership dues for Medical Students.
Submission deadline: Sunday, November 12th at 11:59 p.m. CT
The top-scoring abstract will receive automatic acceptance to the National Scientific Abstract Competition taking place during SHM’s annual Conference, Converge, in San Diego, CA, April 12-15, 2024. This winner will be required to submit their abstract to SHM’s National Submission Site by the November 28th deadline in order to earn this automatic acceptance. The winner will also receive a complimentary registration to attend the Conference and a $500 travel stipend. 
One Medical student winner will receive a $500 travel stipend to attend Converge.
The Second place winner will receive a $200 Amazon e-gift card.
The Third place winner will receive a $100 Amazon e-gift card.
