The SHM NYC/Westchester Chapter will be hosting an in person event on Tuesday, February 11th at 6:00 p.m. ET at Dock's Oyster Bar in NY, NY. Please join the chapter to network with other hospitalists in your community and for an educational presentation titled "Mentoring, Professional Identity, and the Hospitalist," provided by Dr. Kimberly Bloom-Feshbach. Dr. Bloom-Fesbach will discuss the importance of mentorship and it's role in understanding personal identity as a hospitalist.

Dr. Bloom-Feshbach is interested in communication, mentoring, clinical reasoning, and the physician-patient relationship. She designs and evaluates communication and mentoring programs with the goals of increasing humanism, vitality, and diversity in medicine, from medical students to faculty. Dr. Bloom-Feshbach directs the Patient Care and Physicianship curriculum for second year medical students at Weill Cornell Medicine. She serves as the Director of the Virtual Hospitalist Program at Weill Cornell and the Associate Director of Medical Services at NewYork-Presbyterian/Westchester Behavioral Health Center. She is also Senior Faculty with Vital Talk, teaching serious illness communication skills to clinicians at Weill Cornell and beyond.
