The SHM Pacific Northwest Chapter will be hosting an in-person event on Thursday, September 18th at 6:00 p.m. PT at Newcastle Golf Club in Newcastle, WA. The SHM PNW Chapter invites all members of the ACP Washington Chapter to attend. Please join to meet and network with other hospitalists in your community and for an educational presentation titled "Minimize Malpractice Risk, Maximize Patient Safety: What Every Hospitalist Must Know," provided by Dr. Farzana Hoque. This event will also feature the SHM PNW Chapter's Scientific Abstract Competition, where residents and students will be showcasing their work in research, innovations, and clinical vignettes.

The first-place winner will receive automatic acceptance to the National Scientific Abstract Competition taking place at SHM's annual conference, Converge, March 29-April 1, 2026, in Nashville, TN. The winner will be required to submit their abstract to the national submission site by the submission deadline in order to be accepted.
