The SHM Pacific Northwest Chapter will be holding an in-person event on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. PT at the Seattle Public Library in Seattle, WA. Please join the chapter to meet and network with other clinicians in your community.
This event will feature an educational presentation by Rachel Thompson, MD, MPH, MHM, titled "Hospitalists as Health System Architects," as well as the chapter's annual scientific abstract competition, where residents and students will be showcasing their work in research, innovations, and clinical vignettes.
Call for Abstracts:
The SHM Pacific NW Chapter invites Hospitalists, Residents, APPs, and Medical Students to submit abstracts to their annual Scientific Abstract Competition.
All abstract competition participants must register for the meeting.

Submission Requirements: Please follow the Society of Hospital Medicine Pacific NW Abstract Guidelines.
- Abstract Title, author information, abstract category
- Abstract text (≤ 3000 characters)
- Optional: up to 2 supporting figures/tables (PDF or document format)
- Abstracts are eligible for submission if they have not been published in a peer-reviewed journal prior to December 31 of the current year.
