This event will also feature the chapter's Scientific Abstract Competition where fellows, residents, and medical students will be showcasing their work in research, innovations, and clinical vignettes.

Call for Abstracts

The SHM Piedmont Triad Chapter invites Advanced Practice Providers (PA/NP), Early Career Physicians, Fellows, Residents, and Medical Students (MD/ APP) to submit abstracts to the chapter's Scientific Abstract Competition.

Submission Categories: 1. Quality Improvement 2. Clinical Vignettes
Submission Deadline: Monday, November 3, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. ET
Submission Instructions: Submit your abstract through the Abstract Submission Portal.
Notification of Acceptance: Wednesday, November 5, 2025

The first place winner is encouraged to submit their poster to the National Scientific Abstract Competition taking place at SHM’s annual conference, Converge, in Nashville, TN, March 29 - April 1, 2026 and will be required to submit their abstract to the national submission site by the November 24, 2025 submission deadline in order to be accepted.
