Rapid Clinical Updates: Cardio-Renal-Metabolic Disease and Care Models for Hospital Medicine
1.00 1
Join us for a comprehensive webinar focused on optimizing inpatient management of Cardio-Renal-Metabolic Disease and obesity, where experts will present hospital-specific protocols derived from landmark trials including DAPA-CKD, FIGARO-DKD, DELIVER, SELECT, and SURMOUNT-1, with particular emphasis on maintaining therapeutic continuity of GLP-1 receptor agonists and SGLT2 inhibitors during hospitalization, managing medication adjustments, and preventing adverse events in the acute care setting.

The session will examine evidence-based inpatient care delivery models that have transformed hospital medicine outcomes, showcasing data from the COORDINATE and INTEGRATE trials that established new standards for multidisciplinary obesity care in the hospital setting, while providing practical guidance on implementing specialized protocols for fluid management, nutritional support, and medication reconciliation in patients with complex cardiometabolic disease.

This interactive educational session will offer detailed strategies for hospital-based clinicians, including specific protocols for transitioning between home and hospital medications, managing perioperative care in patients on novel cardiometabolic agents, and implementing standardized approaches to inpatient glucose management, featuring case-based learning from the MOMENTUM inpatient registry and direct engagement with researchers who have validated these care models across various hospital systems, with additional focus on discharge planning and care transitions to ensure sustained therapeutic benefit beyond hospitalization.
