Dr. Ebrahim Barkoudah will be presenting on "Hospital Medicine Quality Improvement: Current State and Path Forward".

QI in hospital medicine is an ever-evolving field. This talk will explore the current state of QI in hospital medicine and discuss the path forward in 4 sections:

• Section 1: The Current Landscape of Hospital Medicine QI: examine key metrics used to evaluate quality, including patient satisfaction scores, readmission rates, and adverse event frequencies. We will discuss the challenges faced in implementing and maintaining QI initiatives.
• Section 2: Case Studies of Successful QI Initiatives: Highlighting successful QI projects and the link to value-based care. Each case study will discuss the problem identified, the solution implemented, and the results achieved.
• Section 3: The Role of Technology in QI: Explore the critical role in modern healthcare.
• Section 4: The Future of QI in Hospital Medicine: Describe emerging trends, and potential opportunities for improvement, along with the role of data analytics, predictive modeling, and personalized medicine in shaping the landscape.
