The SHM Kentucky Chapter will be hosting a virtual meeting on Wednesday, January 17th at 4:00 p.m. ET. Please join for an educational presentation titled "Cardiology Updates for Hospitalists," provided by Dr. Mahender Vyasabattu. Dr. Vyasabattu has been with the University of Kentucky for just over four years. He has a long career in Hospital Medicine. In addition to US clinical experience, he has extensive training and clinical experience from England. He takes passion in teaching APP Residents and is closely involved with the scholarship activity of the APP Residency Program. He initiated the early steps towards the SHM Kentucky Chapter's "Updates in Hospital Medicine" series.

What to expect from the "Updates in Hospital Medicine" series:
The SHM Kentucky Chapter and Division of Hospital Medicine, University of Kentucky Healthcare, is bringing monthly updates in Hospital Medicine. The Appalachian region has large areas of underserved populations with poor health indicators. We hope to provide monthly cutting-edge educational opportunities through the lens of Hospital Medicine practice. We have tailored our topics to serve the most needed and impactful health conditions. We believe that educating hospitalists about these and other high-yield, highly prevalent, and potentially deadly disease states will have a meaningful and long-lasting impact on the patients of the Heartland region. Further, we believe this content will be beneficial to traditional internists, family medicine trained physicians, and advanced practice providers managing ICU patients.
