Call for Abstracts
The SHM Los Angeles Chapter invites Fellows, Residents and Medical Students to submit abstracts for its annual Scientific Abstract Competition. All submissions should include an abstract using the instructions provided below.

Submission Categories: 1. Research 2. Innovations 3. Clinical Vignettes
Submission Deadline: Tuesday, October 31 at 11:59PM PST
Winner Announcement: Tuesday, November 14, 2023

Abstract Submission Instructions:
Abstracts submitted for the Research category should adhere to the following headings: Background, Methods, Results, Conclusions. 
Abstracts submitted for the Innovations category should adhere to these headings: Background, Purpose, Description, Conclusions. 
Abstracts submitted for the Clinical Vignette category should adhere to these headings: Case Presentation, Discussion, Conclusions.

The top-scoring poster will earn automatic acceptance to the National Scientific Abstract Competition taking place during SHM’s annual conference, Converge, in San Diego, CA, April 12-15, 2024. Winners will be required to submit their abstract to the national submission site in order to be accepted.
