They must be active member of SHM to be considered. Nominations are due Friday, October 4th and awards will be presented at the October 30th meeting. 

Scientific Abstract Details
Types of Submissions: Research, Innovations or Clinical Vignettes

Submission Deadline: Friday, October 18, 2019 at 11:59 p.m.

To Submit: Send abstracts meeting the criteria (found within the guidelines below) to SHM Maryland Chapter at marylandshm@gmail.com
Notification of Results: All first authors will be notified if abstracts are accepted via email by Monday, October 21, 2019. Finalists will be asked to present either an oral or poster presentation during the chapter event on October 30, 2019.
Winning Prize: The overall winner will receive automatic abstract acceptance to Hospital Medicine 2020 (April 15-18) in San Diego, California. 
Note: In order to participate at the HM20 RIV Competition, the overall winner of this competition must submit their abstract into the HM20 abstract submission site before the deadline on Monday, December 2, 2019.
